Coffee Tables - Coffee tables

Coffee tables are low and long tables normally placed in front of a sofa for one to place their beverages (such as tea or coffee) or magazines and books. Normally, coffee tables are placed in the living room or the sitting room and also in some cases, have storage space so that one can find place for perhaps, older magazines or books. Most furniture stores have interesting designs even as offbeat as based on the overall look of the iPod or the Fender Stratocaster guitar.
The earliest designs of coffee tables were during the Victorian era made in Britain, and can be equated to the Japanese dining table. With the resurgence of interest in Victorian or Georgian style furniture, designs used during those eras have been brought back into the public eye. Coffee tables are made of almost every kind of wood available.
It is often considered the perfect setting for a family get-together perhaps for a game of Monopoly while relaxing on a Sunday evening.
So, whether you want a Victorian style coffee table, one that is a glass table or one as bizarre as one shaped like the head of a guitar, it is a piece of furniture that is a must-have for every house. |
